Day 6

Busy day - John finished his classroom training today, so I was kind and patient driver for his class while they celebrated - so this one is a quick couplet. I cheated

kitties sleep and twitch on the couch
I rub their bellies the wrong way - ouch!

Day 5

Trying to be less trenchant, and now I'm over to the frivolous. Oh well. I'm sure the kitties appreciate the attention, no matter what form it takes.


Finding the warm spot
in the living room is nice.

Seeking out a nesting
spot, I ask the cat's advice

Kitty stretches and miaows
a cuddle to entice

So off to bed with puss and book
Today that will suffice

Day 1

Any person that lives with critters knows what I mean by this

tentative touch with orange hair
gently skulking through the house
bump, thump, patter - he isn't there
perhaps now pursuing a mouse
anxious yet placid, demanding a place
be made for majestic repose
and yet I ask his furry face
must it always be on my clean clothes?
